Twisted communique

A man I've known for a really long time, who lives more than a thousand miles from me, will contact me out of the blue once or twice a year. That's often enough, because we haven't seen each other for so long that we do run out of things to say. Even though we care about each other a great deal.
So yesterday, unprovoked, at least consciously, I get this from him:

"A dream upset me, and I awoke, mad at you! It was silly. I googled you, and now I feel better. Must sleep more."

Boy, isn't that just the state of life in the 21st century?
We dream, we feel, we google.
C'est la fromage.
